MU Students Invited to attend Entrepreneurship Institute 2013
“Going to this event literally changed my life.” – Carlos Rodriquez
Mansfield University students are invited to attend this year’s Entrepreneurship Institute being held at Lackawanna College on February 8 and 9. Sponsored by the Mansfield University Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, this trip is free to students.
The Entrepreneurship Institute program is a two day intensive workshop that focuses on the start-up phase of a business, including idea generation, market assessment, and how to develop and implement your idea. The program is expertly presented by Jeffrey Babin, a partner at Antiphony Partners venture capital firm, and on faculty at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The workshop includes presentations, skill development exercises, and guest speaker talks from successful East Pennsylvania entrepreneurs. Food is provided and participating in the program is free.
According to Carlos Rodriguez, MU student, president of MU’s Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO), and one of last year’s participants, “Going to this event literally changed my life. It made me realize that entrepreneurs are the ones who actually get to accomplish their dreams, therefore I decided to become one. I would highly recommend any MU student to go to this year’s Entrepreneurship Institute, which will give you the necessary tools to get started on our pathway to success…”
The Entrepreneurship Institute will be held on Friday, February 9 and Saturday, February 10. Departure is planned from Mansfield University on Friday the 9th around noon, will include an overnight stay, and will return after the workshop ends Saturday evening.
For more information or to register, contact Ed Foote, Director, Mansfield University Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. There is no cost to students, but you must be registered by Monday Feb. 4, 2013.
